This Zenfolio site archives photographs by Paul Kidder, along with archives of family photographs dating back as far as the mid 19th century. Because the archive is meant as a private family photo album, most of the galleries are password protected. Passwords are given by invitation only and there are three conditions for use: (1) that you respect the privacy of the people pictured - for example, that you not post their pictures on Facebook or other Web sites unless you know that the people pictured are comfortable with that; (2) that if you do post pictures, you credit the photographer; and (3) that you do not share the passwords with others.
I encourage you to explore the galleries on this site and the various ways of looking at the pictures, and I especially recommend the slide shows. When looking at pictures in a gallery, if you mouse-over the photo you will see several options for things to do with the photo, including the option of downloading the original file (which is typically between 1 and 6 MB in size).
The large size of the originals stored here means that they can be used for prints of all sizes, including the option of ordering prints right from the site. Zenfolio is partnered with Mpix, an excellent professional photo lab. Most of the photos are cropped to fit a 4x6 format, but if you are ordering other sizes or if the original is cropped differently, Mpix allows you to custom crop as you order. Before ordering, I recommend that you look over the shipping information: http://www.mpix.com/about/Shipping.aspx.
